Pixel 4A Vs iPhone SE 2020

Both the Pixel 4a and the ‌iPhone SE‌ are "budget" phones from Google and Apple respectively.
Both companies are providing some of its flagship phone features to these phones.

Apple offers its flagship A13 chip in iPhone SE and the rest of the phone is almost identical to iPhone 8.

And Google on the other hand is offering their flagship level camera to its budget smartphone but the rest of the phone is just average.

So Which Phone Should You Buy?

If you're shopping for a quality smartphone that won't break the bank, the Pixel 4a and iPhone SE are two of the very best ones you can get.

Who should go for the Pixel 4A

If you want the best camera in a smartphone then this is the best phone you can buy. There’s a single 12.2-megapixel optically stabilized sensor on the back (with a flash); it’s the same Sony IMX363 sensor that Pixels have used since the Pixel 3. There’s also a single 8-megapixel sensor on the front. The Pixel 4A and Pixel 4’s photos are virtually impossible to distinguish. They both have the signature Pixel look: almost dramatically high contrast, sharp detail, and cool color tones. These cameras are particularly impressive in the dark. Their night modes are great — especially at the $349 price point.

The only camera advantage the iPhone SE has over Pixel 4A is in the video department. It has many more video quality options, giving Apple’s smartphone a slight upper hand in the video department.

Performance on the Pixel 3a was one area where things were a mixed bag. iPhone SE has a ridiculous advantage over the Pixel: its processor. Where Apple can use its economies of scale to put the fastest mobile processor ever made into its low-cost iPhone SE, Google has to make do with the options Qualcomm offers at this price point. That means the Pixel 4A uses the midtier Snapdragon 730G.

It has a 3,140-mAh battery the Pixel 4a’s battery life isn’t anything special.

Who Should Go For The iPhone SE

If you want the best performance then this is the best phone that you can buy under $400.Apple decided to equip the phone with its A13 Bionic processor, allowing for insanely fast performance and years of consistent software updates.
iPhone SE has a 4.7-inches Retina HD display which feels quite handy, compact, and comfortable. But the main issue is its design it has the same design as the iPhone 8 or even the iPhone 6. It has huge bezels both at the top and bottom of the phone which effects the viewing experience. But it a very subjective matter some people make not like the bezel-less design, some people prefer to have some bezel in there phone to have a proper grip of the phone while they are watching content or gaming.

The new iPhone SE 2 comes with a single 12MP primary camera setup at the back, which with the A13 bionic technology can take portrait shots amazingly. And at the front, there is a 7 MP front camera which can take portrait selfies.
It has the same camera hardware as the iPhone 8 but the ‌iPhone SE‌ has more advanced photographic capabilities that are enabled by the powerful A13 Bionic chip inside, such as Portrait Mode and Smart HDR. Sadly it doesn't have any night mode.

Apple has packed the same 1821 mAh battery as in iPhone 8 which is not at all impressive. It will not last a day for a heavy user. The new iPhone SE comes with fast charging support with the 18W fast charging adapter which you can purchase separately, as it is not provided in-the-box. It ships with the same 5W charger in the box.

It also has some extra features like wireless charging, water resistance, and more.

Bottom Line

If you want a great camera phone under $400 and you seriously interested in smartphone photography then Pixel 4A is the perfect phone for you.

And if you want the best performance and you don't care about modern design or the best camera experience then go for the iPhone SE.
