Both the phones are very similarly priced yet very different from each other.
Oneplus 8 price in India starts from Rs.41,999 while the iPhone SE 2020 price in India starts from Rs.42,500.But in the US it OnePlus 8 is priced $300 more than the iPhone SE.

Both the phones are drastically different, OnePlus is a traditional modern smartphone with the latest tech while the iPhone SE packs Apple's latest A13 chip in an iPhone 8 body.
they’re also targeted towards very different audiences.

So let's compare both the phones

Design And Display

iPhone SE: iPhone SE has a 4.7-inches Retina HD display which feels quite handy, compact, and comfortable. But the main issue is its design it has the same design as the iPhone 8 or even the iPhone 6. It has huge bezels both at the top and bottom of the phone which effects the viewing experience. But it a very subjective matter some people make not like the bezel-less design, some people prefer to have some bezel in there phone to have a proper grip of the phone while they are watching content or gaming. It has the same 60Hz display.

OnePlus 8:Oneplus 8 sports a beautiful and big 6.5-inch FLUID AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.OnePlus 8 boasts a virtually all-screen display that’s interrupted only by the punch hole selfie camera at the top. Its display is simply more modern with curved screen and edges.

Software And Performance

iPhone SE: iPhone SE comes with the A13 Bionic which is Apple's latest chip used in its premium series of phones iPhone 11. It's very good to see Apple is providing its flagship chip to its budget smartphone. Performance-wise both the iPhone and the OnePlus will provide you the same level of performance.

iPhone SE comes with the latest version of iOS 13. As the phones come with the latest A13 processor it will get future updates for at least 5 years.

OnePlus 8:The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro packs with the Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with a Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity. The OnePlus 8 runs Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.0 with a guarantee of two years of major Android updates — at least.
OxygenOS is one of the most refined android skin in the market it almost feels like stock android.

camera

iPhone SE: The new iPhone SE 2 comes with a single 12MP primary camera setup at the back, which with the A13 bionic technology can take portrait shots amazingly. And at the front, there is a 7 MP front camera which can take portrait selfies.

It has the same camera hardware as the iPhone 8 but the ‌iPhone SE‌ has more advanced photographic capabilities that are enabled by the powerful A13 Bionic chip inside, such as Portrait Mode and Smart HDR. Sadly it doesn't have any night mode.

OnePlus 8:The OnePlus 8 has a triple camera setup with a 48MP main camera, 16MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera.OnePlus 8 has a more versatile camera setup. Unlike the iPhone SE, it has a dedicated night mode. On the video front, the phone can shoot up to 4K at 60fps. It cant shoot at 8k but Super slow-motion is available, though only to 480fps at 720p resolution.

Battery

iPhone SE: Apple has packed the same 1821 mAh battery as in iPhone 8 which is not at all impressive. It will not last a day for a heavy user. The new iPhone SE comes with fast charging support with the 18W fast charging adapter which you can purchase separately, as it is not provided in-the-box. It ships with the same 5W charger in the box.

iPhone SE also supports wireless charging.

OnePlus 8:The OnePlus 8’s battery is much larger at 4,300mAh compared to 1,821mAh. It will last more than a day without recharging, even with fairly heavy use. It supports 30W fast charging and it ships with the 30W charger in the box. But what it lacks is the wireless charging.

Conclusion

Which One Should you buy?

OnePlus 8 is a clear winner here but in terms of performance, both are head to head with each other. But OnePlus 8 is almost $300 cheap in India bringing the price almost the same as the iPhone SE. But in other areas, there is a big price difference between them. Which makes the iPhone SE a better deal as it gives you the same performance as the iPhone 11
at $400 price tag.

If you want your smartphone to have a modern design and a bigger display don't buy the iPhone go for the OnePlus 8.
If you don't care a lot about the modern bezel-less design and large screen and you want to get into the iOS ecosystem or you want the IP rating for water-resistant or you are planning to use the phone for a long period of time then this is a great phone for you.

Both has its pros and corns so it all comes down to your personal preferences

Comment down below which is your preferred smartphone.
