Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

 

Samsung launched several products at the Galaxy Unpacked event late on Wednesday. Introduced two new foldable phones in the form of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 along with a new range of accessories like Galaxy Buds 2 TWS 
earbuds and Watch 4 range of smartwatches.
While the Z Fold 3 unfolds horizontally, essentially converting your phone into a nearly 8-inch tablet, the Z Flip 3 folds vertically and you will get the same screen estate as any other smartphone with a display of around 6.5-inch. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 design

Right off the bat, you’ll be glad to know that the new Galaxy Z Fold is IPX8 water-resistant, which means it can withstand being in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. I doubt most people will dunk this foldable, but it’s good to know it can handle everything from splashes to rain.

To further fortify the Galaxy Z Fold 3, its stronger Armor Aluminum body and Gorilla Glass Victus display are designed to resist scratches and drops. Last but not least, Samsung claims that the Z Fold 3 employs a new protective PET film that when combined with “optimized” main screen layers results in an 80% more durable screen.

The streamlined Armor Aluminium hinge does the heavy lifting here, allowing the thinner Fold 3 to feel much more akin to one seamless, homogenous device rather than two smartphone screens latched together with a rotary hinge. The slimmer screens make for a more streamlined experience when the phone is shut, too, and while the mechanism is a good deal finer it certainly doesn't feel flimsy in our hands. 
The new and unique matte finish (available in Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Green) is cool and tactile too, with just enough traction to feel secure rather than slippery in the palm.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Specification

The thickness of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be 16mm on the hinge side and 14.4mm on the other in the foldable position. The cover screen of the phone will be 6.2 inches. Which will come with a Full HD Plus Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel. The screen resolution is 2268/832 pixels and the adaptive refresh rate is 120hz. The main screen will be 7.6 inches, which will come with QXGA Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel. Its resolution will be 2208/1768 pixels. Its screen will also come with a 120hz adaptive refresh rate. Gorilla Glass Victus has been used in the phone.

Camera 

A triple rear camera has been given in Galaxy Z Fold 3. Its main camera is 12MP. Its field of view will be 123 degrees. Apart from this, another 12MP camera will be available. Also, a 12MP telephoto lens has been given. Which will come with optical zoom and 10x digital zoom support. A cover camera setup will be available at the front of the phone, which is 10MP. Its field of view will be 80 degrees. Also, a 4MP under-display camera has been given.

Performance

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone is backed by a 5nm octa-core SoC, with a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz. The phones run on the fastest Android processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The phone gets the support of 12GB RAM. The phone works on Android 11 based One UI. The phone comes with S-Pen Fold Edition support (Sold Separately)

Battery

Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a 4,400mAh (Typical) dual battery. It can be charged with the help of a 25W fast charger. Fingerprint sensor and face recognition support will be available on the phone.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a starting price of $1,799 for the 256GB model, and the 512GB version costs $1,899.
